I chopped my hair. Okay, I paid to have someone chop it. It is now about 6-7" shorter. I really do like it. It doesn't get caught every time I move and Ashlie can't grab it. It is a lot curlier also.
Ashlie rolled over for the first time on Sunday, August 31st. She rolled from her tummy to her back. Lindsay and Kaylee were so funny; they started cheering and said we needed to make a cake to celebrate. We didn't have eggs. The next day Lindsay decided that they cake still needed to be made, so she took the mix, oil, eggs, and water and mixed it up outside in the driveway. When I asked her why she took it all outside to mix up, she said that everyone (all the neighbor kids) wanted to help make the cake. I would have let them all in my kitchen to help, but Lindsay took it to them instead.
Lindsay's birthday is coming up. Wow, I can't believe that she is almost 8yrs old. We are planning a combined b-day party with Emilie. She is so excited. We took her and Emilie shopping for invitations, favors and such. They were so funny. They walked right in the store; each grabbed a cart, and started shopping. They knew they needed to pick out a piƱata, so they were walking around the store pointing out this one and that one. They found one that they both like, a great big flip flop. The girls have discovered that it takes a lot of work to plan a party. They are the ones that filled out the invites, and delivered them. They also stuffed the goody bags. This next week we are working on the final details for games and such. It should be a lot of fun. Kaylee is already getting ideas for her party in February.
She is getting baptized on her birthday, so it is going to be extra special. She came up to me the other day and said "Mom, I don't know if I should be baptized." I'm wondering why? She goes on to say "I don't think I can make the right choice all the time." We had a nice talk about repentance. She is excited to get baptized now. Today at Stake Conference she pointed out the changing room and door to the font to Kaylee.
We recently pulled out the exersaucer and Johnny jumper for Ashlie. Kaylee climbed in the jumper and started jumping around the room. She said she was testing it for Ashlie, obviously she didn't realize it hung in the doorway, but then she also said it could be used for swimming. Then she climbed in the exersaucer, with the jumping thing still on, and got stuck. I'm glad she was looking out for her sis.

WHat have we gotten ourselves into to have these girls plan their own party?! They have been really cute with it, and I know that someday I will look back and think that it was so fun! (right now I think it is just a big pain!) :)
